ROOMS

ROOMS

From the moment you step in to our nursery you will be welcomed into our homely and secure environment. Each parent is valued and the children are loved and cared for by experienced and dedicated staff who only strive for the best.

Duckling Room

Our Duckling Room environment is nurturing and caters for up to 6 babies under 1 years old. Our experienced and qualified baby practitioners implement the curiosity approach to support all our babies to develop and explore their senses, using real resources, sensory baskets and heuristic play.

Key workers work closely with parents to provide a home from home routine and provide experiences and opportunities for babies to develop confidently and independently in a safe and content environment.

Hatchling Room

Our Hatchling room is home to our babies from 12months-18months. Our baby room leaders and their team will work closely with you and your baby, supporting their routine and helping to establish natural changes in routine as they grow and develop.

We understand and value that each baby is unique and has their own individual needs that are catered to primarily by your baby’s assigned key person.

The Hatchlings have their very own area of the garden, accessible throughout the day to fit around the individual routines of the children.

The room provides a homely feel, focusing on sensory exploration and learning, promoting development in the three prime areas of learning.

Goslings Room

The Gosling room is home to our 18months- 24month old children. The Gosling room will introduce a slightly more structured routine for the children to enjoy, including circle times and table top activities that promote the children's learning opportunities & experiences to encourage achievement of their next steps.

The Gosling room has use of the under two's garden, which they access at least twice a day. The garden is used as an extension of their learning environment with staff providing engaging learning opportunities for the children inside and out.

Cygnet Room

Our two year olds in Cygnet room will be in this room until the end of the term before their third birthday. Our ‘Two year old Co-ordinator’ is based in the Cygnet room and oversees the running of the room and the completion of two year old checks. The Cygnet room has a structured routine and will introduce aspects such as ‘group times’ and basic themes, for example, the weather or days of the week.

They will be promoting general, self-care and basic hygiene independence.

Learning and development still focuses on the prime areas of learning in this room but of course caters for the extension of learning in the specific areas of development.

Preschool Room

Our Preschool room caters for the children for the three terms before they go to school in the coming September. Led by our Pre-school co-ordinator, the room focuses on getting each child ‘ready for school’ and working towards the achievement of ‘the early learning goals.’

The Preschool provides structured learning experiences in small groups as well as the majority of child led play experiences, incorporating the children’s interests.

The Preschool have their own garden which is accessible to them all day and provides a variety of learning opportunities. The Pre-schoolers can often be found gardening, growing their own fruit and vegetables or constructing a ‘bug hotel!’

When the time comes for your child to say goodbye to Brambley Tots and start their new chapter at school, the team will work closely with you, your child and their new school, to ensure a smooth transition.
