How Funding Works

3 & 4 Year Old Funding
Universal Funding
The term after your child’s 3rd birthday you are entitled to receive a maximum of 15 hours Universal funding per week.

Universal Funding is available for 38 weeks per year – this means Term Time only.

At Brambley Tots Day Nursery we split the hours into sessions: 5 sessions per week – 1 session = 9am - 12am or 1pm - 4pm
Extended Funding
You may qualify for Extended funding; you and your partner must live in England, you and your partner must be employed, (or must expect to start a new job within 14 days of applying) and have an income of less than £100,000 each. This is an additional 15 hours per week.

At Brambley Tots we ‘stretch’ the 30 hour Extended funding which means you receive a maximum of 21 hours per week, all year (51 weeks).

At Brambley Tots Day Nursery we split the hours in to sessions: 1 session = 9-12am or 1-4pm
o All sessions outside the funded hours will be charged: For example: 8-9am = £9.50, 12-1pm = £11.50 (includes lunch), 4-6pm = £18.00 (includes tea)
o You may split your funding between settings.
o You will need to complete a form each term.
